About
My name is Believe. I am a writer, creative, and lover of all things cozy. I love coffee and matcha, The Sound of Music, and The Chosen. I love autumn, bonfires, and cozy socks. At the top of my hierarchy of needs are Jesus, love, Pinterest, and gummy bears in that order.
“And one day the girl with the books
became the woman writing them.”
I started writing about a decade ago, and I have not stopped since. I self-published my first collection, “Becoming A Revolution” when I was 14. My second book In The Year We Lost Everything came out in 2020, and my most recent book “Birthing A Resistance” came out earlier this year (2024).I dream of traveling the world and sharing my poetry on podcasts and platforms, maybe some voiceovers and definitely writing more books-perhaps a novel soon.
“I need someone to steal my loneliness
and never give it back.”
My style of writing is an amalgamation of my desires. I love punching one-liners and haikus (seen in more modern works). However, I also have a soft spot for long-form poetry. My work aims to have the best of both worlds. I love the reliability and highlight unique gut-wrenching poetry. My poetry is a bit like my identity (a mingling of all the places and people I have been).
“Hate has spoken loudly for so long.
Greed has spoken loudly for so long.
Liars have spoken loudly for so long
Love needs to stop whispering.”
I draw a lot of inspiration from stories and quotes. I have begun each of these sections with quotes that greatly move me. Ultimately, I am here to tell stories in the most wrenching way I know how. That looks different each time from simple prose to heartrending one-liners. I am happy to have you here with me. I wish for you to find hope housed in my poetry. I hope you find home in the words harbored here.
