Journey to the Revolution-Part 2: What
The declaration was a prophecy- a declaring of who God saw our generation being. But how many of you know there is a process from the prophecy to the promised land; there is a journey.
The realization was the act of becoming aware of the damage that had been done by the enemy because we must acknowledge there is a disease before we treat it.
The insurgency was written specifically for the fatherless. It was a rebellion against the statistics and an experience of the Father’s love, forgiveness, and healing.
The purging was painful. The act of cleansing sounds so gently but water is deadly and fire scorches things off of you. The purging required vulnerability. A notion I challenged is that “vulnerability shatters masculinity”. The only masculinity vulnerability shatters is toxic masculinity. And in the purging boys and men were allowed to cry. to hurt. to show their wounds and not be condemned. Here is where things take a turn. Here is where we look closer than farther to the promised land.
The reclamation. The taking back. The restoration of your name, your heritage, history, and culture. Everything that was stolen from you. but who are we? After the declaration, realization, and insurgency after the purging and reclamation.
The revelation is the discovery of who you are and whose you are. a daughter. a son of the king. an heir.
The revolution is the promised land but just like the Israelites - the walls of Jericho must come down before it is yours. Like David, Goliath must be slayed before you are crowned. You have to fight the war, heal, restore the land you must remember why you began this journey. And the dream you wanted to see; unity, diversity revolutionary, and royalty. In the end you will realize you are the revolution. You are the catalyst. You are the one that will spark a wildfire You are the one who will change the world. This is the promised land.
