On Educators that Are Impactful

Hi everyone,

I graduated a couple of weeks ago. It was such a simple, boring, and long ceremony for 4 years of hard work. I had to laugh a little at the anticlimatic-ness of the moment. One of the most important moments was a call to action by my now-former superintendent. He encouraged us to write letters to our educators about their impact on our lives. I want to start a series of letters here to thank all the teachers, educators, admin, etc who have greatly impacted me. These letters will be in no particular order. I will attempt to post weekly until the end of summer. So, I owe you all about two letters. I hope you are encouraged to write to people in your life about how grateful you are for them. The art of letter writing and gratefulness seems to be lost in this generation. I am so guilty of not being intentional about telling people how thankful I am for them. And with the realizations that I have had over the last few months (see on loss and grief), I have realized that it is such a vital habit to build because people are not here forever.

Until the next letter,

Believe
